qemu security update
An update for qemu is now available for openEuler-22.03-LTS-SP4
QEMU is a FAST! processor emulator using dynamic translation to achieve good emulation speed.
Security Fix(es):
A flaw was found in the virtio-net device in QEMU. When enabling the RSS feature on the virtio-net network card, the indirections_table data within RSS becomes controllable. Setting excessively large values may cause an index out-of-bounds issue, potentially resulting in heap overflow access. This flaw allows a privileged user in the guest to crash the QEMU process on the host.(CVE-2024-6505)
An update for qemu is now available for openEuler-22.03-LTS-SP4.
openEuler Security has rated this update as having a security impact of medium. A Common Vunlnerability Scoring System(CVSS)base score,which gives a detailed severity rating, is available for each vulnerability from the CVElink(s) in the References section.
